Responsibilities

As Canada's national public broadcaster, the Corporation's mission is to inform, enlighten, and entertain; to contribute to the development of a shared national consciousness and identity; to reflect the regional and cultural diversity of Canada; and to contribute to the development of Canadian talent and culture. CBC/Radio-Canada is Canada's largest cultural institution and its services are available across the country.
