CCC's Board of Directors provides leadership and guidance to the Corporation's management team, and sets the Corporation's strategic direction. It is composed of a Chairperson, the President & CEO, and nine Directors appointed by the Minister of International Trade and approved by the Governor in Council.
Defence
This unit is responsible for
aerospace, defence and security arrangements to allied militaries. It also
manages sales to the U.S. Department of Defense (U.S. DoD) under the Defence
Production Sharing Agreement (DPSA), which ensures a strong and integrated
North American defence industrial base. The defence unit actively engages in
business development, sourcing, preparation of bids and proposals, contract
negotiations and contract administration.
Emerging and Developing Markets
This unit is responsible for
projects in emerging and developing country markets. These projects include a
wide-range of goods and services that provide Canadian expertise in a variety
of sectors, such as infrastructure development, engineering services,
transportation, telecommunications, and energy, among others. The emerging and
developing markets unit actively engages in business development, sourcing,
preparation of bids and proposals, contract negotiations and contract
administration.
Organization
This unit is responsible for developing and implementing CCC's strategic direction, and for increasing awareness and usage of CCC services among exporters and foreign buyers. It focuses on strategy development, marketing, communications, government relations, and events. The unit also oversees human resources, health and safety, official languages, rewards and recognition, multiculturalism, translation and facilities. It is also responsible for planning and implementing the IM/IT infrastructure.
Risk and Financial Services
This unit is responsible for
ensuring sound financial and risk management practices for all policies and
programs of the Corporation.
Legal Services
This unit provides expert legal
counsel on a variety of issues that pertain to the Corporation's contracting
and procurement activities. Legal Services is the custodian of the seal of the
Corporation and all minute books and maintains a registry of legal files,
including original contracts.
