General Information

Background

Canada Hibernia Holding Corporation (CHHC) is a Crown corporation and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDIC). The Corporation was established in 1992 under the Canada Business Corporations Act, to invest in and manage Canada's working interest ownership and investment in the Hibernia Development Project. CDIC has given CHHC a mandate to manage and hold this investment. CHHC reports to Parliament through its parent corporation, CDIC, which in turn reports to the Minister of Finance. CHHC is managed by a President/CEO. The President/CEO reports to CHHC's Board of Directors, which then provides information and advice to CDIC as required.
